Mayan Calendar Insights
with Catherine Gee
Saturday, November 5th
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Most people around the globe look at some form of a calendar every single day. Business executives check to see when their meetings are scheduled. The busy mom confirms soccer practices and piano lessons. College students ensure that their papers are turned in on time. For the people of ancient Maya, calendars were just as important to daily life as they are to people today.

The Mayan calendar is a complex system of time-tracking developed by the Mayan civilization of Mesoamerica. The calendar actually uses several different cycles, or methods of keeping track of time according to astronomic or mythic events. Although the Mayan calendar was not the only calendar in use by the ancient civilizations of Central and South America, many experts consider it the most advanced, and a clear indication of the scholarly emphasis in Mayan culture.

During this workshop, gain perspectives on the intensity and acceleration of change taking place regarding the evolution of consciousness, extrapolated from the study of the Mayan Calendar. Learn key dates for 2012 and beyond. Prepare and practice for the global meditations occurring on 11/11/11.

Through movement, meditation and music: explore and celebrate the wisdom of your heart. Create a New Earth with Love.

Cost: $20.00 per person.

Tuesday Night Wellness Chats - "How To End Your Pain!" - An Intro to Chiropractic Care with Dr. Tony Sandorfi ~ Tuesday, October 25, 2011, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Tuesday Night Wellness Chats
"How To End Your Pain!"
An Intro to Chiropractic Care
with Dr. Tony Sandorfi
Tuesday, October 25, 2011
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Every few weeks, on a Tuesday evening, we will be hosting some of Ottawa's best Health and Wellness practioners for a series of Wellness "chats". This is an incredible opportunity to investigate new modalities of natural and non-invasive healing in an informal and relaxed setting. This is a great way to learn more about Natural Healing Arts and to meet some wonderfully dedicated and talented healers within our community.

This session, meet Dr Tony Sandorfi, a holistic chiropractor who has been serving the Ottawa/Gatineau community for the last 14 years. Early on in his practice, Dr. Tony realized that what people needed most was not a quick fix, but to learn tools which empower and promote health and well-being. He has seen that by teaching these life-changing tools one-on-one and in groups, not only does peoples’ health improve, but they also are able to make sustainable progress in their lives.

Being passionate about childrens’ health, Dr. Sandorfi has recently started two other initiatives in Ottawa: 1) a free posture clinic in local schools and 2) Ottawa ADHD clinic, providing a natural, comprehensive program to help children and adults with ADHD and other neurobehavioural disorders such as autism, Asperger’s, and dyslexia lead more productive and normal lives.

Dr Sandorfi will give an introductory talk about Chiropractic care and answer all your questions ...so bring your list! He will talk about how to end your pain, decrease your stress and create a profound level of wellbeing. If you have always wanted to try this type of healing but have been unsure as to whether or not it is right for you, this is a great place to get started!

Cost: $20.00 per person
