Ecstatic Dance with Naomi Poole
Saturday, December 3rd
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
A great way to stay fit, build strength, release stress, reconnect and balance energy. Explore your capacities. Heal. Breathe deep and relax. This is a loosely guided class beginning in and ending in circle. We will move through the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water.
The Path of Dance:
From the Beginning of time we have Danced. We have spun around the fires of humanity and moved to the beat of the earths pulse. We have sounded into the mystery and found ourselves in crevices of the ethers, shaking our bodies into the place where love has made its home. Movement is a language. It is a way to speak what is unspeakable. It is a way to communicate. It is a way to listen. Watch the way a child moves. Watch an infant wiggle. To Dance is in our bones. It is Ancient.
We live in a culture that is constantly telling the individual what is acceptable culture and what is not acceptable culture. We live in a time that is craving a culture rooted in spiritual intelligence. When we release the inhibition and let go into our feet and bodies, we are creating a new culture. We come back to the old ways, in this new time. Remembering and Creating.
This Dance is a Modality for Revelation. This movement is a path for healing. For Growth. For Deepening into the self.
Be Brave. Be Courageous. Be the Dance!
What to bring: Comfortable clothes, water, and a good dose of Curiosity. No Experience necessary!
Cost: $15.00 per person or use your PranaShanti Class Card.

Tuesday, November 22nd
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM.

This session, meet Dr Tony Sandorfi, a holistic chiropractor who has been serving the Ottawa/Gatineau community for the last 14 years. Early on in his practice, Dr. Tony realized that what people needed most was not a quick fix but to learn tools which empower and promote health and well-being. He has seen that by teaching these life-changing tools one-on-one and in groups, not only does peoples’ health improve, but they also are able to make sustainable progress in their lives.
Being passionate about childrens’ health, Dr. Sandorfi has recently started two other initiatives in Ottawa: 1) a free posture clinic in local schools and 2) Ottawa ADHD clinic, providing a natural, comprehensive program to help children and adults with ADHD and other neurobehavioural disorders such as autism, Asperger’s, and dyslexia lead more productive and normal lives.
Most of what we struggle with in our lives has to do with our search for happiness. In this talk, Dr Sandorfi will discuss the only two issues that ever cause unhappiness and how to overcome them, the five happiness traps and six happiness tools.

Friday Night Yoga and Chant
with Elizabeth Friedman
Friday, November 18th
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Uplift your spirit and open your heart with a playful and fun Kundaliniyoga set to remove Body Blocks, followed by a joyous 31 minute candlelit chanting of SA RE SA SA to overcome obstacles.
In the Kundalini tradition, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Sa Re Sa Sa is the base mantra of all mantras. It gives you the capacity of effective communication so your words contain mastery and impact. It brings prosperity and good luck.
Yogic science says that there are specific lengths of meditation time needed for certain desired effects to occur. A 31 minute meditation allows the glands, breath and concentration to affect all cells and rhythms of the body, allowing for a deep, transformative experience each time.

In other words, they were calmer and happier than before." - Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., of the University of Massachusetts Medical School

Oils to the Rescue!
with Magdalena Tomczak
Saturday, November 12th
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

If you think essential oils are just about pretty scent, think again!
Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being. The inhaled aroma from these "essential" oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Essential oils can also be absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing. A form of alternative medicine, aromatherapy is gaining momentum. It is used for a variety of applications, including pain relief, mood enhancement and increased cognitive function.

This workshop may just spark a life long affair between you and the magical world of aromatic oils.
"Oils to the Rescue" kits will be available for purchase.
Magdalena Tomczak is a holistic skin care therapist and an aromatherapist. Magdalena’s love for essential oils began as a child in her native Poland. Essential oils were always an important part of her family’s remedy cabinet. In Canada Magdalena had the pleasure to study aromatherapy with one of the top authorities on the subject – Mr. Maurice Nicole. Today, essential oils are a staple of Magdalena’s holistic practice. She includes them in all of her treatments and offers a service of Bespoke Oil creations, blending custom formulations for the face, body, hair and more.
You can always find little bottles of precious oils in Magdalena’s bag, as she never leaves home without them.
Cost: $45.00 per person.

Tuesday Night Wellness Chats
"Does it hurt?"
An Intro to Acupuncture with Dr. Dominic Vallee
Tuesday, November 8th
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Every few weeks, on a Tuesday evening, we will be hosting some of Ottawa's best Health and Wellness practioners for a series of Wellness "chats". This is an incredible opportunity to investigate new modalities of natural and non-invasive healing in an informal and relaxed setting. This is a great way to learn more about Natural Healing Arts and to meet some wonderfully dedicated and talented healers within our community.
This session, meet Dr Dominic Vallee, a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM), the oldest college of TCM in Canada, located in Victoria, B.C.
Dr Vallee also has additional training in Intra-Dermal Therapy, NADA Protocole, Sports Massage, and energy work and has studied and worked in South Korea. Dr. Vallee treats various health issues presented to him by his patients, although he has a great interest in pain management, stress and anxiety, and respiratory disorders.
Dr. Vallee’s philosophy: "It is with the utmost respect for the human body, mind, and spirit that I approach my patients. I believe that pain is the result of an imbalance of the whole body and treatments will be geared toward removing the pain and its root-cause, harmonizing yin and yang to find that balance given to us at birth."
Dr Vallee will give an introductory talk about Acupuncture and answer all your questions ... so bring your list! He will discuss how this ancient method of healing can bring about profound changes in the body, mind and spirit.
